Advisory Boards
Our professional visiting committees and advisory boards offer industry recommendations to align teaching with the needs of business and industry. The leadership of the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) regularly meets with members of our advisory groups, which include alums, engineering professionals, and business leaders.
Industrial Advisory Board
The CECS Industrial Advisory Board, composed of corporate leaders, meets annually with the dean to discuss strategic issues facing CECS, its programs and resources. The board offers insights into global trends in engineering and computer science, drawing on perspectives, knowledge and extensive experience from industry, academia and political circles.
Visiting Committee
The CECS Visiting Committee, composed of presidents and vice presidents from regional industries, meets with the dean annually for tactical planning. This group draws upon its wealth of experience as industrial leaders to inform the College of Engineering and Computer Science about the immediate and near-future needs of their companies and the region. Visiting Committee members assist with programming and curricular matters to ensure we produce engineers and computer scientists who can meet regional needs upon graduation.
