Team Only / $700 Monetary Award Per Team Member, or if more than seven team members, $5000 maximum to be divided equally between team members

The Advancing the Mission Award is presented to a team whose performance has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to advancing the UM-Dearborn mission.
- A team that recognized the need to develop and work together to implement ideas and/or plans to enhance our institution鈥檚 mission of caring, inclusivity, and student focus.
- A team that worked together on a project designed to implement goals and objectives conceptualized by the department's expectations as they align with the university's strategic plan.
- A team that worked together to accomplish one of the following: a positive impact on student learning, successfully addressing student, faculty, and/or staff needs, improving the campus environment, and supporting diversity and inclusion.

The Dearborn Victor Award will be presented to an individual staff member whose actions personify diversity, equity, and inclusion, who exemplifies excellent performance and embodies the values and goals of the university, and who has positively impacted the lives of others on campus.
- Positively influencing a program or organization from behind the scenes.
- Demonstrating a willingness to help in whatever capacity necessary, providing support services to the University, and illustrating a commitment to excellence.
- Producing high-quality work that allows the University to run smoothly.
- Showing dedication to the University through their initiative and outstanding customer service to employees, students, and visitors, treating others with dignity and respect.
- Serving as a role model, mentor, and dependable team player.

The Essential Support Award will be presented to a regular staff member who contributes to the overall well-being and success of the campus community and plays an essential role in enabling others to perform their duties effectively.
This award represents a diverse array of roles within the organization. This wide range of roles underscores the inclusivity of the award and the diverse ways staff contribute significantly to our campus community. These individuals are the backbone of daily operations, initiatives, and successful projects, even though they aren鈥檛 frequently in the spotlight.
Essential regular staff members, in a non-supervisory role, may include but are not limited to the following:
Administrative/Support Personnel
Law Enforcement/Public Safety Personnel
Facilities and Infrastructure Personnel
Instructional Technology Personnel
Financial Services Support Personnel
Logistics Support Personnel
- Provides essential services and assistance to the university as a whole.
- Performs critical functions necessary to maintain basic operations of the institution, including ensuring the safety and well-being of students, faculty, and staff.
- Facilitates the functioning of university departments and supports academic and operational processes.
- Pivotal in fostering a productive campus environment.

The Innovation Award will be presented to an individual staff member who has created, developed and/or introduced new products, services, processes, or ways of thinking that add value or improve upon existing standards to enhance our campus community.
Examples of innovation/ideas:
- Product: developed new or significantly improved goods or services.
- Process: changes in the way products or services are created, produced, or distributed.
- Social: ideas that address social challenges such as poverty, education, health, or community development.
- Incremental: gradual improvements to an existing product, service, or process.

The Keystone Service Award will be presented to a regular staff member who has worked continuously on the UM-Dearborn campus for at least ten years, has shown unwavering commitment, mentorship or training, and over time, has provided valuable contributions that have positively impacted their department and the university's success. This category is designed to recognize employees who have demonstrated solid job performance in their daily work responsibilities.
- Lasting and significant accomplishments in performing their job duties over time.
- Consistently improves service to stakeholders (students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and the campus community).
- Uses extensive experience and knowledge to guide and support colleagues through advice, sharing best practices, and contributing to a positive work environment.

The Rising Star Award will be presented to a regular staff member who has worked continuously on the UM-Dearborn campus for at least one year but no more than four years and has shown promise early in their career with a potential for growth and advancement. They have a demonstrated record of improvement, have progressed through cooperation and initiative, and are self-starters with a take-charge attitude.
- Excellence in performing job responsibilities - exceeding goals.
- Quick adaptation to the work, team, and department.
- Anticipates problems and takes or recommends preventative measures.
- The nominee shows promise in making further contributions to the campus community.

The Student Success Award will be presented to an individual staff member who has directly or indirectly impacted student success.
- Willingness to adapt to the needs of different learners.
- Assisting in the delivery of a transformational educational experience.
- Evaluating student support systems for optimal use.
- Promoting or increasing access to educational and financial support and resources.
