
每日大赛 held steady among master鈥檚-level public universities in the Midwest in U.S. News & World Report鈥s annual guide to American colleges and universities. UM-Dearborn ranked sixth among regional public universities and moved up two spots to 38th among all regional universities in the Midwest. This marks the 15th consecutive year the university was rated as one of the region鈥檚 best.
According to the magazine, overall rankings are based on data on up to 15 indicators of academic excellence, including retention and graduation rate and class size.
The publication also ranked the university 3rd among public schools and 20th overall in its 鈥淏est Value Schools 鈥 Midwest鈥 list. This specialty ranking looks at a university鈥檚 academic quality鈥攂ased on its 2018 U.S. News ranking鈥攁nd 2016-2017 average net cost of attendance
In program-specific listings, U.S. News again recognized UM-Dearborn鈥檚 undergraduate business and engineering programs.
The College of Business was ranked as the third best undergraduate business program in the state. This was the ninth consecutive year the program has appeared on the list.
The College of Engineering and Computer Science was ranked among the best ABET accredited undergraduate engineering programs for universities that offer doctoral degree programs. This is the second year CECS has been included in the doctoral program category. U.S. News previously ranked the program among the best offered at master鈥檚-level institutions for 18 consecutive years.
The complete 2018 rankings were released online this week and will appear in the magazine鈥檚 annual guidebook to 鈥淎merica鈥檚 Best Colleges.鈥
