Current CASL Dean Jerry Hale has been named dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the College of Charleston. His last day with the university is June 30, 2013.
鈥淏ecause this marks a particularly important moment in CASL鈥檚 history, vetting candidates for this position is an endeavor of special importance,鈥 Davy said.
David James, professor of mathematics, will chair the search. The committee includes:

Ginny Zarras will serve as the committee鈥檚 human resources consultant.
The position has been posted nationally, although the university will not engage a search firm with the process. The search will remain open until the best candidate is identified.
