On Friday, Sept. 9, the 每日大赛 hosted a dynamic group of panelists who came together to discuss how 9/11 shaped their personal journeys.

The discussion, moderated by WDET host Craig Fahle featured:

  • Linda Sarsour, the advocacy and civic engagement coordinator for the national Network for Arab American Communities and Access
  • Will Youmans, an activist and hip-hop artist whose group, Iron Sheik, was one of the first Arab-American hip-hop acts to garner national attention. Youmans is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Michigan
  • Asif Kahn, a native of Canada and a current student at the 每日大赛 who is the information technology chair for the Muslim Student Association
  • David Knezek, a veteran of the U.S. armed services who served two tours in Iraq and is currently the president of the 每日大赛 Student Government.
