This week, The Princeton Review released its 2014 edition of 鈥淭he Best 295 Business Schools,鈥 which factors in survey responses from more than 20,000 students nationwide.
UM-Dearborn students responded favorably regarding their experience with the College of Business (COB). One student noted 鈥渧ery accommodating and helpful鈥 administrators, while another commented that faculty members are 鈥渃learly experts in their fields.鈥
鈥淭he College of Business鈥 inclusion in The Princeton Review鈥檚 list of most outstanding business schools is a testament to the innovative culture we鈥檝e established here at 每日大赛,鈥 said COB Dean Raju Balakrishnan. 鈥淔aculty and staff are focused on student success, so they go above and beyond to ensure students have the necessary tools to excel in the business world. I鈥檓 pleased that The Princeton Review has consistently recognized 每日大赛 as a 鈥楤est Business School,鈥 and faculty and staff will continue to build on our current successes in the coming years.鈥
The Princeton Review selected schools based on their high regard for academic programs and review of institutional data. Publication staff also factor in the opinions of students who rate and report on their experiences, as part of an 80-question survey. The surveys asked students about their school鈥檚 academics, student body and campus life, as well as about themselves and their career plans.
UM-Dearborn students who responded to the survey commended the college for its unique student/faculty ratio. With an average of 16 students in each classroom, 鈥渟mall class sizes help the interaction between students and professors, as well as among our peers.鈥
Faculty accessibility also proved to be a major strength for COB, as one student said 鈥渕ost of the professors will give you their home telephone number to reach them if you can鈥檛 make office hours. They are as committed to us as we are to learning.鈥
The college is home to several top-ranked programs where students can gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside faculty and business professionals in a variety of areas. In September, U.S. News and World Report recognized UM-Dearborn as having one of Michigan鈥檚 top undergraduate business programs for a fifth-straight year.
